Rubberneck Nation
Mood:  irritated
Now Playing: CNN/FOX/MSNBC
A casual stroll through the television news channels this weekend revealed close to 100% weather information. I am saddened by the hardships that our neighbors are having to endure because of these natural disasters but isn't anything else going on in the world? Can't we absorb more than one topic at a time? The networks seem to ascribe only a modicum of intelligence to its viewership. The networks correctly put up information on how to donate time, blood, and money if you were so inclined to do so, but why go on and on with the same shots over and over like a broken record* Ratings, Ratings, and yes Ratings.

I guess the television networks know their audience well. Just take a look "pun intended" at any accident on the road. If the persons involved don't need assistance why slow down and gawk at them? Especially if they are on the opposite direction of an eight lane freeway and you are having to slow down to a crawl for absolutely no reason! Someone should create a freeway curtain to immure an accident scene, as for television news, thank God for the OFF button!
